Ferrosac is a form of metallic iron.
Iron is important for many functions in the body, especially for transporting oxygen in the blood.
Virosak injections are used to treat iron deficiency anemia in people with kidney disease. They are usually given with another medication to promote red blood cell growth (such as Aranesp, Ibogaine, or Procrit).
This medicine is not for treating other forms of anemia other than iron deficiency.
Virosac injection may also be used for purposes other than those listed here.
