Ketotifen is an antihistamine. It is taken to relieve nasal congestion or runny nose caused by allergic rhinitis.
It is used to reduce the frequency and severity of asthma attacks. This medication may allow you to reduce the use of other asthma medications.
In allergic conditions, certain substances are released in the body. These substances trigger inflammatory responses. Ketotifen tablets inhibit these responses and can therefore be used to treat various allergic conditions such as rhinitis (inflammation of the mucous membranes in the nose) and conjunctivitis (inflammation of the mucous membranes in the eyes).
