Sebamed gel with heparin and allantoin is used to treat different types of scars after wound healing.
The gel prevents the growth of scar tissue and softens it. The gel also reduces redness, swelling, and pain (anti-inflammatory).
Suitable for use in patients with immobile, hypertrophic, and keloid scars (thick scars raised above the skin surface and sometimes a different color than the surrounding skin) that are cosmetically disfiguring as a result of surgery, amputation, burns, or accidents. Suitable for contractures, such as Dupuytren’s contracture (persistently bent fingers) and traumatic tendon contractures, as well as atrophic scars (scars lower or higher than the skin surface).
